Happy to give back - Aruba
When COVID hit, it became clear that it would become a very difficult time for everybody on the island. At the same time we got requests from tourists and organizations how they could support the island. In a very short period of time we set up a digital donation platform and raised more than afl 1.000.000,- for FPNC, the YMCA, and Ban Uni Man pa Cria nos Muchanan.
Besides setting up this platform, we also did the marketing & PR and organized -for example- a 48-hours national radio- and telethon in collaboration with 12 radiostations and TeleAruba. We worked with many ‘famous Arubans’ like Xander Bogaerts and Sarah Kita Offringa to reach as many ‘friends of Aruba’ as possible. We also placed Happy to Give Back boxes all over the island where people could donate and organized a big campaign towards the Netherlands and the US. With the money raised we could support 2.190 families with a food package for a month, 24.458 warm meals for the most vulnerable and elderly and 19.569 breakfasts for kids at schools.
