360° of Innovation was approached bij the European Union to execute a feasibility study about the possibilities of Business Incubation in Aruba. After many conversations with stakeholders both in the public and private sector on the island, it turned out there was a lot of interest to start business incubation in Aruba.
The European Union decided therefore to also invest in a business plan for business incubation and asked 360° of Innovation to write this plan. With the input of many stakeholders the business plan was written en presented during the Small Business Week in the summer of 2018.
The Chamber of Commerce of Aruba adopted the idea of business incubation and became the lead of executing the concept. 360 kept on advising the Chamber of Commerce and at the end of 2019 an agreement was signed between the Chamber of Commerce, the government of Aruba and the University of Aruba to start ABIA (Aruba Business Incubation Association) as a foundation.
